Mayor's Office

To the great residents of Linton I also say “thank you.” Thank you for participating in our many events, engaging our youth, helping with charitable causes and supporting our Linton Miners so well.

We believe our community has much to offer, whether you are a new business looking to startup, relocate, a current business owner considering an expansion, someone looking for a good place to live, or a first-time visitor.
We are committed to building a business-friendly environment so that businesses can prosper and citizens can take advantage of job opportunities in and around the community.

Our City parks and multiple county, state and national recreational areas all offer a retreat from your normal day-to-day routine. We have many educational alternatives including an excellent public school system and multiple private options.

Dozens of churches offer spiritual fulfillment regardless of denomination. Our community has been acknowledged for its wide variety of community service organizations that work to improve quality of life. We have state of the art health care facilities that are expanding for all your health needs.

Our mission, as citizens and representatives of our community, is to encourage the vision, the leadership, and guidance needed to improve the growth and quality of love for residents and their families as they live, work, and prosper in Linton.

Much is happening in our city, and we try to keep our website as up-to-date as possible, so visit often. If you need more information after you’ve reviewed this website, please don’t hesitate to call my office. Thanks for visiting.
Let’s keep moving forward in 2020.

— Mayor John Wilkes
